Richard E. Lockhart
Biography
Mr. Richard E. Lockhart has extensive experience managing industrial operations for profit for major
U.S. based corporations. Prior to founding Lockhart Communications in 1989 he managed business units,
manufacturing plants and engineering organizations in the textile, plastics, rubber and high technology sectors.
He developed a specialty in the management of major business and facility relocations while conducting ongoing
business. He became a sought after consultant in the field managing business relocations ranging from the banking industry
to word processor manufacturing. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from Lowell Technological Institute
and an MBA from Suffolk University.
He serves on the Planning and Historic Boards, overseeing all real estate development, in his hometown of Lowell,
Massachusetts and is 2nd vice-chair on the Planning Board. He has been doing so for over ten years.
He is a strong advocate and supporter of his alma mater Suffolk University of Boston, Massachusetts where he
serves on the Board of Directors of the Sawyer Business School's Alumni Association, The Dean's Advisory
Board and is a member of the Marketing Advisory Committee. In addition, Mr. Lockhart serves on the Advisory
Board for the Center for Innovation and Change Leadership at the Business School , a Center of Excellence at
the Business School devoted to the practice of Innovation and Change Management.
He is a member of The Marketing Committee of the Merrimack Valley Venture Forum promoting the forum
to regional entrepreneurial firms.
He is very active in his hometown of Lowell, Massachusetts and a past recipient of Lowell's Citizen of the
Year Award. He resides in Lowell with his wife Rosemary, their three daughters and three grandchildren.
